Tulsa 9.12 Project July '17 Breakfast Club

Eddie Huff
Breakfast Club
This month we are happy to have a long time friend to the conservative movement, Eddie Huff. Many of us know Eddie from KFAQ, while others are familiar with his work on education programs targeting at risk children, based on the teaching techniques used by Booker T. Washington and Olivia Davidson. We have asked Eddie to join us as our guest speaker to discuss his newest project and politics. While I don't always agree with Eddie on politics, I do enjoy hearing his perspective on the issues of the day.

About Eddie Huff:
Eddie Huff is a former missonary, and licensed minister with an
undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University. Eddie studied
theology in the M. Div. program at Melodyland Theological Sem-
inary in Anaheim, CA.
Eddie is also a financial services representative as well as a radio
personality, writer, and public speaker living in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

His Twitter (@freshblkcoffee) Bio reads:
Born in Germany, grew up in Da Hood, became a blk radical/Hippie, got saved, became foreign missionary now mixing the message of Christ and Booker T. Washington.
About Washington-Davidson Academies:
The Washington-Davidson Academies project is a new educational model, targeting at risk children, based upon the proven model of Tuskegee Institute, founded and built by Booker T.  Washington and Olivia Davidson. This model is built upon the idea that individual character is the key to success or failure in a person's development.

As Dr. Washington said:
" You may fill your heads with knowledge or skillfully train your hands, but unless it is based upon high, upright character, upon a true heart, it will amount to nothing. You will be no better than the most ignorant."

While Tuskegee began with nothing,  its success has become a perfect example of what can happen when people see a cause, catch the vision, trust the idea and respond.

The Booker T. Washington Inspirational Network, Inc. is partnering with Epic Charter Schools and the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs to provide a rigorous formal education, in a safe, disciplined environment, with practical, character building life skills, sports, arts, and other opportunities the Boys and Girls Clubs offer.

There is a small tuition, to instill a sense of pride, ownership and worth to the families, as well as raising corporate donations, they are seeking other private donations.  They are in particular need of starting capital to launch the program.

If successful, the model will be duplicated in targeted communities across the nation.

Come enjoy good food, hot coffee and spicy conversation with like-minded patriots.
